PACE GEORGIA
DIRECTORY
Pace Georgia aims to empower adults with developmental disabilities through community integration and classroom activities to promote healthy and meaningful lives.
At our site, we provide a variety of community and classroom activities and events. In addition, we also provide job training and career opportunities to our participants.
ACTIVITIES
Our participants regularly partake in community activities such as shopping excursions, dining experiences, and field trips to places such as the circus, the Oakland Zoo, the Solano Town Center Mall, and the Berkeley Hall of Science, just to name a few.
EVENTS
Pace Georgia participants get to enjoy a variety of local events. Such events include participating and competing in Pace Solano's annual Vallejo-Benicia Talent Show and attending sporting events such as Oakland A’s baseball games, Oakland Raider's football games, and Golden State Warrior's basketball games. We also love celebrating birthdays, throwing Holiday parties, and attending Pace Solano's biannual dances.
CLASSES
Pace Georgia offers a variety of classes and clubs for our participants, including the Red Hat Society, Comic Book Club, Health and Wellness, Gardening, Scrap-booking, Mathematics, Self Advocacy, and Life Skills.
We strive to promote and increase the independence of the approximate 75 participants that we serve. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where participants feel connected with the people and the world around them.
