Our Behavior Consultants work with all Pace Solano programs. They train and consult with staff regarding behavior management and crisis intervention for adults with severe behavioral disorders. Examples of behavior services provided include:

 

• On-going consultation

• Conducting behavioral assessments

• Developing behavior support plans and protocols

• How to prevent crisis situations

• Assisting with developing program curriculum to meet the individual needs of participants, designing communication systems, and modeling to staff how to implement behavioral strategies

• Designing communication systems

• Training staff on how to implement behavior support plans and protocols

• Evaluating program supports needed for participants with severe behavior disorders

• Using a collaborative team approach to implement an effective behavioral management component at all Pace Solano program sites

 

The on-going support provided by our Behavior Specialists allows Pace to continue to serve developmentally disabled adults with severe behavior disorders through positive behavioral management techniques
